The Vamphyr are split between two races, the Vampirs and the Lycanthropes:
Race name: Vampires (or Vampirs)
Attributes: One can either become a vampire or birth one. To become one, one must insert some of their blood into you, instead of vise-versa. Doing so intertwines their blood with yours. You are their servant until they either free you or they die. If you are a vampire, you can have a vampire baby, since your vampire blood is mixed with the baby’s blood. The baby is, however, free from you.
Vampires look like their prior race, save for pale skin, either raven-black or shock-white hair, red glowing eyes, slightly pointed ears, and sharp teeth.
Vampires are commonly known to be a bit arrogant, due to their knowledge that they were one of the world’s founding races. Many see themselves as better than even humans, who shaped the world.
History:
The vampires have been around since the dawn of time. They ruled the world alongside humans, despite the humans not knowing their existence. It is unclear who the first vampire was, but legend says he may be what the Christians call Satan or Lucifer (it is uncertain).
Over the years of their existence, the vampires spawned Lycanthropes, a vampire sub-species. The vampires used them as cattle and slaves, but the Lycans broke free of their grasp. After years of tension and battle, the Vampires and the Lycans formed a truce. Though they have stopped warring against each other, there is still tension between the two races.
Strengths: Above average strength and speed, heightened senses, immortality (will remain youthful and unable to die unless by fire, a stake through the heart, and a beheading)
Weaknesses: Need to feed upon blood or they grow weak and frail and may possibly die. Also weak against fire and silver bullets.
Race name: Lycanthropes (or Werewolves)
Attributes: You won’t know someone is a werewolf until you see them at night. For in the day they are merely human, save for a few canine-traits like long hair, sniffing, scratching, and a need for raw meat. At night, however, they transform into a large humanoid wolf.
Werewolves came about when hungry vampires in the wild began to feed on wolves. Some of them accidentally inserted their own blood into the wolves, vampirizing them. The virus morphed in the wolves’ bloodstream. They began biting humans and turning them into humanoid wolves, which only seemed to come about when the light from the moon hit them. Over the years the Lycanthropes gained the ability to transform at will.
Werewolves can’t pass on the werewolf virus to others, but it can be passed down through birth. Werewolf mothers usually have between 3-5 cubs, always at night in their larger wolf form.
The usual werewolf isn’t as arrogant as the common vampire. They are usually a bit hard around the edges, like canines. When in their human form, they are prone to doing canine-like things. Lycanthropes have a lot of pride and honour in their race.

They are currently fighting amongst themselves; some wish to turn against the humans, others wish to join with the humans.
Strengths: When in normal form: Heightened senses. When in wolf humanoid form: Heightened senses, increased strength and speed, large claws and fangs, howl can cause momentary paralysis in those weak in the mind.
Weaknesses: Can be killed instantly by a silver bullet to the skull, hate the overwhelming smell of garlic.
There have also been sightings of different types of anthropomorphs, such as cats, owls, bats, etc. They share the same characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses as the werewolves, and will act like their animal counterpart when in human form.
